Arthur Lavigne CPA, CA, CA•IFA

Mr. Lavigne is a founding partner of LBC Meaden & Moore International and has over 35 years of experience in investigative accounting and financial litigation support. He has diversified experience in the measurement of financial losses/damages in legal and insurance matters and has also testified as an expert witness in legal proceedings in various civil courts and arbitration tribunals including the International Claims Tribunal in The Hague and a United Nations Compensation Commission. Mr. Lavigne has presented at multiple training seminars and conferences relating to investigative auditing and measurement of damages.

John Andrew CPA, CA, CA•IFA, ACIArb, MAE

Mr. Andrew has over 30 years of forensic accounting experience in claims investigation and litigation support, including expert witness testimony. He has provided insurance and litigation services in a variety of locations including North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, the Far East and Africa. Mr Andrew has been involved with an arbitration tribunal of the United Nations and has provided CAT loss support in multiple countries. Mr. Andrew’s prior work experience includes employment with PWC.

Mr. Andrew is a Chartered Accountant, designated as a specialist in investigative and forensic accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant registered in Illinois, USA and is also a member of the UK Academy of Experts and an associate member of the UK Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University.

Boris Antonic CPA, CA, CFF

Mr. Antonic has over 10 years of experience in loss quantification for insurance, litigation and other forensic assignments. He has analyzed financial information in various industries, including telecommunications, mining, petrochemical, pulp and paper, automotive, healthcare, hotel/hospitality and many others. Mr. Antonic's prior experience includes auditing and tax work for a mid-sized Chartered Accountancy firm in Toronto.

Mr. Antonic is a Chartered Accountant and is Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) by the AICPA. He received his Bachelor of Commerce from Ryerson University and his Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo.

Emile Bassila CPA, CA, CA•IFA

Mr. Bassila is a founding partner of LBC Meaden & Moore International and has over 35 years experience in forensic assignments; the review and measurement of business interruption loss claims, contract disputes and investigation of fraud loss claims in Canada, the U.S., Europe, South America, Africa and the Middle East. He has extensive experience in the investigation and measurement of loss claims in the aluminium and mining industries worldwide. Mr. Bassila has testified in legal proceedings and prepared seminars and presentations relating to business interruption loss measurement and fraud losses to members of the insurance industry.

Mr. Bassila is a Chartered Accountant, designated as a specialist in forensic and investigative accounting. He received his Bachelor Degree in Economics and Commerce from Simon Fraser University.

Gilles Boucher P.Eng.

Mr. Boucher has over 35 years of experience in the petroleum and petrochemical industries including over 20 years of experience in feasibility studies and loss of profit claims in Canada, the United States and Europe. He is specialized in the analysis of business interruption refinery claims based on Linear Regression Programs. His past experiences include acting as a business analysis manager and operational planner for a refinery, as well as acting as an independent advisor in the oil refining and petrochemical industries.

Mr. Boucher is a Professional Engineer and received his engineering degree from University of Montreal Ecole Polytechnique.

Brendan Cape CPA, CMA, CFF, CBV

Mr. Cape has over 15 years of professional experience, including 10 years specializing in investigative accounting and financial litigation support. Mr. Cape's insurance experience includes business interruption, property damage and personal injury claims as well as subrogated matters and third-party claims. Mr. Cape's litigation experience includes fraud investigations, business valuations and loss quantifications across a wide range of industries in the context of shareholder and contract disputes, product and tort liability cases, as well as professional negligence and family law matters.

Mr. Cape is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, is Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) by the AICPA and is a Chartered Business Valuator. Mr. Cape received his Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and Finance from Ryerson University.

Kevin M. Copeland CPA, CA, CA*IFA, CFF, CIP

Mr. Copeland is in charge of the Calgary office of LBC Meaden & Moore International and has over 25 years of professional experience, mostly in loss measurement for insurance and in litigation support. He has been involved in matters pertaining to a wide range of businesses and industries including major losses in energy production, refining and transportation, mining, power generation and chemical production. He has appeared in legal proceedings as an expert witness, including testifying in the Courts of Queen's Bench in Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia, as well as in Texas. He has lectured on business interruption and related topics on numerous occasions.

Mr. Copeland is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), a Chartered Accountant, designated as a specialist in forensic and investigative accounting (CA*IFA), is Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) by the AICPA and is a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP). He obtained both his Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary.

Steve Davis CPA, CA

Mr. Davis is currently exclusively focused in forensic accounting at LBC Meaden & Moore International. He has over 5 years of experience in auditing, financial statement analysis, taxation and advisory services in the public accounting industry. He has participated in complex assignments including assessing the impact of a fraud that had occurred at an audit client.

Mr. Davis is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Accountant. He received his Bachelor of Accounting degree from Brock University.

Claude Gélinas CPA, CA, CIP

Mr. Gélinas has over 20 years of experience in forensic analysis including quantification of losses for insurance claims and defining value in litigation support. He has made several presentations and given seminars relating to business interruption and the interpretation of financial statements and runs the course "Business interruption losses" for the Damage Insurance Institute of Quebec. Mr. Gélinas has testified as an expert witness on several occasions. His past experience includes accounting, audit and fiscal work for 9 years with a large Canadian accounting firm.

Mr. Gélinas is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Insurance Professional. He received his Bachelor in Business Administration from the École des Hautes Études Commerciales.

Ivor Gottschalk CPA, CA, CA*IFA, CFF, CBV

Mr. Gottschalk has over 25 years of experience in investigative accounting and financial litigation support and has lead hundreds of assignments, including high profile matters in Canada and abroad. He has experience in insurance and litigation matters, where he has been accepted as an expert witness. His past experience includes being a partner in the forensic accounting group of Grant Thornton. Mr. Gottschalk was the Chair of the Standards Committee of the CICA's Alliance for Excellence in IFA and has co-authored publications for the IFA Alliance, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the Association of Certified Forensic Investigators of Canada.

Mr. Gottschalk is a Chartered Accountant, designated as a specialist in forensic and investigative accounting, is Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) by the AICPA, and is a Chartered Business Valuator. He received his Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor in Accounting from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa.

Alexandra Kulovics CPA, CA, CA•IFA, CFF

Mrs. Kulovics has over 5 years of experience in insurance loss measurement, financial litigation support and investigative auditing. Her past experience includes establishment of internal and accounting systems, budget processes and financial reporting with regards to international donor financing, personal training in accounting systems and supervision of accounting departments. She has knowledge and experience with evaluating tenders offers (specifically audit contracts and medium to small size procurements) and compliance with anti-corruption policies and practices in relation to international donor aid. Mrs. Kulovics has presented at seminars and conferences relating to investigative auditing and fraud.

Mrs. Kulovics is a Chartered Accountant, designated as a specialist in forensic and investigative accounting, and has a diploma in investigative and forensic accounting. She has received her Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University.

Beata Laskowska CPA, CGA, DIFA, CFF

Mrs. Laskowska has over 5 years of experience in loss quantification, including contract disputes and litigation support. Mrs. Laskowska’s past experience includes working in the accounting field for over 15 years. She has worked as a Controller for a recreational vehicle rental company where she was involved in the company’s initial public offering. She also set up and ran a family business in the machining industry and was responsible for the company’s ISO certification.

Mrs. Laskowska is a Certified General Accountant. She received her Diploma in Investigative and Forensic Accounting from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Arts (General Studies) from the University of Athabasca.

Rodney H. McNulty CPA, CMA, CFE

Mr. McNulty has over 20 years of experience in insurance loss measurement and investigative auditing and has testified as an expert witness in legal proceedings. He has given seminars and presentations relating to investigative auditing and measurement of losses to members of the insurance industry. Mr. McNulty has experience in a wide range of commercial insurance claims including business interruption losses, fidelity losses, product liability, stock losses and has also been involved in CAT losses.

Heather Rindahl CPA, CA

Ms. Rindahl has focused her career on loss measurement and investigative accounting since the completion of her Chartered Accountancy designation. Her past experience includes investigative and forensic work in the U.S. for a large public accounting firm as well as accounting, audit and tax work in both the U.S. and Canada. She also founded and operated a non-profit organization in India and the U.S. focused on micro-lending in rural villages.

Ms. Rindahl is a Chartered Accountant. She received her Bachelor of Science (Accountancy and Finance) Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University.

Edward G. Robinson CPA, CA, CA•IFA, CBV

Mr. Robinson has over 30 years of experience in investigative accounting. He has testified on numerous occasions as an expert witness in legal proceedings. Mr. Robinson’s prior work involved insurance loss consulting, litigation support and business valuations as a partner at KPMG. He has also worked for an investment firm, a mining finance company and a junior mining company.

Mr. Robinson is a Chartered Accountant, designated as a specialist in forensic and investigative accounting, and a Chartered Business Valuator. He received his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia.

Oliver Tiemann CPA, CA

Mr. Tiemann has over 20 years of experience in analysing financial information from a variety of public and private entities in Europe, North America and Asia. He has extensive experience in the investigation and measurement of loss claims in the refining and petrochemical industries worldwide and has also worked with a United Nations arbitration tribunal. Mr. Tiemann has given numerous seminars and presentations relating to investigative auditing and business interruption loss measurement to members of the insurance industry. His past experience includes three years in the mining industry in Canada and South Africa.

Ryan Turner

Mr. Turner is currently exclusively focused in forensic accounting at LBC Meaden & Moore International. He has 2 years of experience in auditing, financial statement analysis and tax services with a large international accounting firm. His past experience includes due diligence work on purchase price valuations and tax advisory.

Mr. Turner received his Bachelor of Business Administration - With Distinction, with an Honours Accounting and Co-operative Option from Wilfrid Laurier University. He has passed the Common Final Examination (CFE) toward a CPA, CA dual designation, and will soon meet the experience requirements in order to become designated.

Farrah Alibhai

Ms. Alibhai is currently completing her second year of experience at LBC Meaden & Moore International, where she has assisted in estimating business interruption losses for insurance claim purposes. Ms. Alibhai prepared diagrams that were used, as court exhibits, to illustrate the flow of funds in a complex real estate litigation matter.

Mrs. Dal Dosso has over 5 years experience in insurance loss measurement. Mrs. Dal Dosso’s past experience includes a wide variety of insurance claims including business interruption losses, stock losses, employee dishonesty and accident benefits.

Mrs. Dal Dosso has a diploma in Business Administration and an Accounting Certificate from Humber College of Applied Arts, and has completed level 2 of the Certified General Accountant program.
